Sara and Fiona Apple Team Up

For Record Store day, April 21st, Sara will be releasing a “Side by Side” 7 inch which will feature Fiona Apple.  Warner Bros. Records, parent company of Sara’s label Nonesuch, first introduced their  “Side by Side” series last year. All are exclusive for Record Store Day on uniquely colored and extremely limited-edition 7-inch vinyl singles, featuring Warner Bros. artists covering other historic and personally influential iconic artists.

Details on the release: Sara Watkins (featuring Fiona Apple)/The Everly Brothers, “You’re The One I Love,” 7-inch olive green with blue/black splatter vinyl single. Sara Watkins covers The Everly Brothers’ classic “You’re The One I Love” and features co-vocals from Fiona Apple. This cut is from Watkins’ new full-length album, “Sun Midnight Sun,” which will be available later this spring.

Touring with Dawes

New album from Sara Watkins

Sara Watkins is back in the studio to record her second solo album for Nonesuch Records. The album, which will be produced by Blake Mills, is due out sometime next year. In the mean time, Watkins took fans inside the recording process, offering daily audio clips from each day’s session.  Check them out on Souncloud.
